To explain uncertainties, humans have created mythological figures, gods, and monsters as an explanation for things they did not yet understand. Concepts like the day and night cycles, extreme weather, the moon, gravity, and death would all be perfect examples. No matter the culture, location, or faith, humans have created a shared collective of stories that helped us make sense of the world we share together.
