Since the dawn of time, we have yearned for taxes. As we crawled out of the primordial ooze 375 million years ago, we were excited and starry-eyed. We knew that our new oxygen rich future would also not be free. We did not want it to be. Why do you think we grew feet? So we could walk to work in the morning. Why else would we grow hands? Well clearly so we could sign our 1040s and dot our W-2s. And while we are at it, let's invent cigarettes to take the edge off of a burden that we placed on ourselves.
