In East Asian scriptures, Naraka are twenty eight realms of hell that exist between life and death. It is described as a place of torment and salvation. A human’s soul is tortured until the negative karma that it collected during its life has been expelled, then the soul can move to the afterlife towards salvation. This scene then transforms into the silhouette of "The Fish with a Human’s Face.” This fish of fiction resides in the River Styx located in the Greek underworld. Much like the realms of Naraka, this river exists in order to separate the living from the dead.
